Last updated 7 September 2026. This is a plain-English summary of what we hold and why.
The Visa Runner (“we”) is an independent tool for planning visa runs. Contact: hello@thevisarunner.com.
Planning a run needs no account. Your inputs live in the page URL, not on our servers. We set two cookies: a country code derived from your IP address (to pre-fill “where you are now”), and a first-touch source tag if you arrived from a campaign link. Neither identifies you.
We store, tied to your account:
You can view, edit or delete all of it from your dashboard. Deleting your account removes it.
We send transactional email through Resend: sign-in and password resets, run reminders (if you set a date), and a shortlist if you ask us to email one. Every reminder has a one-click unsubscribe. We do not send marketing email.
We record which pages and steps are used, in our own database, with a random per-session id and no personal data. If Google Analytics is enabled it sets a _ga cookie; you can decline it via your browser or an extension.
Flight, hotel, eSIM and insurance links go to third parties (Aviasales / Travelpayouts, Hotellook, Airalo, SafetyWing). We may earn a commission. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we don’t send them your personal data — only a click.
Not yet live. When it is: if you use it, we collect the details needed for a Vietnam e-visa application, a scan of your passport bio page, and your phone number, and we share them with the named visa agency that files the application on your behalf. Documents are stored privately, encrypted, and deleted a set period after the application closes. You will consent to this explicitly before anything is shared.
Access, correction, deletion, and a copy of your data — email us or use the dashboard. We keep account data until you delete it or ask us to.
Draft — under legal review before the visa service launches. Questions: hello@thevisarunner.com.
